Forgotten Shrine of the Master Sword - Environment Art

Forgotten Shrine of the Master Sword is a real-time environment, inspired by The Legend of Zelda, created in Unreal Engine 5 as my final course project for my Environment Art studies at U-tad.
The scene is built around a heroic journey through a dense, abandoned forest leading to a sacred triangular altar, where the Master Sword becomes the main focal point. My goal was to create a moody fantasy environment with a strong sense of atmosphere, mystery and environmental storytelling, balancing natural elements with ancient architectural ruins.
I was responsible for the full environment process: initial layout and blocking, asset creation, sculpting, retopology, UVs, texturing, set dressing, landscape work, lighting, post-processing, VFX integration, collisions and performance optimization. The environment was designed to be fully playable, with a controlled walking pace to better showcase the scene composition and atmosphere.
